Borussia Dortmund dropped points in the Bundesliga for the first time since the turn of the year, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Schalke 04.

The 100th edition of the Revierderby in the Bundesliga ended all square, as Borussia Dortmund failed to hold on to their lead twice against local rivals Schalke 04. The Black and Yellows missed a host of big chances, and those misses came back to haunt them in the end as goals from Marius Bülter and Kenan Karaman helped the Royal Blues rescue a point.

Borussia Dortmund now find themselves two points behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga standings. And they will feel that they only have themselves to blame. Edin Terzic’s side took the lead twice, with Nico Schlotterbeck and Raphael Guerreiro finding the back of the net. But their lack of clinical edge in front of goal proved to be costly in the end.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 2-2 draw against Schalke 04.

Alexander Meyer (6/10)

Meyer made a couple of decent saves for his side and did not stand much of a chance with either of Schalke’s goals.
