Borussia Dortmund delivered one of their most dominant performances of the season so far as they cruised to a 6-1 win over FC Köln.

Borussia Dortmund delivered a strong statement of intent in the Bundesliga title race by claiming a stunning 6-1 win against FC Köln on Saturday evening. Edin Terzic’s side played some sublime football over the course of the 90 minutes, and were rewarded with their biggest win of the season so far.

Raphael Guerreiro opened the scoring for Borussia Dortmund, before setting up Sebastien Haller for the second goal. Goals from Marco Reus and Donyell Malen helped BVB take a 4-1 lead into the break. Haller and Reus then scored again in the second half to seal a dominant win for the Black and Yellows.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 6-1 win over FC Köln.

Alexander Meyer (5/10)

Meyer had the post to thank in the 20th minute as he made a mess of what should have been a routine save. He will also feel that he should have done a better job of preventing Selke from making it 4-1 for Köln late in the first half. He did make a couple of decent saves to make up for those errors either side of half time.
