Borussia Dortmund may be without Jamie Bynoe-Gittens for a few weeks, with his shoulder injury apparently more serious than previously thought.
The injury bug has plagued Borussia Dortmund once again this season, with several key players being forced to spend considerable time on the sidelines. It looks like the Black and Yellows will now have to make do without Jamie Bynoe-Gittens for a number of weeks as a result of his shoulder injury.
According to BILD, Bynoe-Gittens’ shoulder is more seriously injured than previously thought. And Borussia Dortmund must now decide whether he will undergo surgery or be treated conservatively.
The magazine claims that the highly rated winger will be sidelined for several weeks either way, and he could even miss the rest of the season.
Shoulder injuries have been hampering the progress of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens for some time now. And he was also sidelined for a number of months in the first half of the season after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder. The latest injury appears to be on his left shoulder, and it is currently unclear exactly how long it will keep him out for.
Losing Bynoe-Gittens for an extended period of time would be a big blow for Borussia Dortmund. The 18 year old is enjoying an encouraging first full season in professional football, and has already scored three important goals for Edin Terzic’s side in 13 Bundesliga appearances. The hope at BVB will be that he can recover from his injury and return to action for the business end of the season.
