Borussia Dortmund trio Marius Wolf, Emre Can and Thomas Meunier could be in action as Germany and Belgium go head to head in a friendly match.

The road to next year’s European Championships will continue for Germany on Tuesday, as they take on Belgium in a friendly match in Köln. Both sets of players will be eager to test themselves against top quality opposition in this blockbuster international friendly.

Germany head coach Hansi Flick will have to make do without Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck (thigh issue) and Chelsea forward Kai Havertz (illness). Niklas Süle and Antonio Rüdiger have both been rested, so Thilo Kehrer is likely to start in defence along with Matthias Ginter. Malick Thiaw could also be an option.

Marius Wolf is expected to keep his spot at right-back after impressing on his Germany debut against Peru on Saturday. One of Emre Can and Leon Goretzka will likely start in midfield with Joshua Kimmich. Serge Gnabry could replace Kai Havertz in attack.

Belgium will have to make do without first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. Wolfsburg’s Koen Casteels is set start between the sticks. Romelu Lukaku will start in attack, aiming to build on his hat-trick against Sweden. Thomas Meunier is expected to start on the bench for Domenico Tedesco’s side.

Germany: ter Stegen – Wolf, Ginter, Kehrer, Raum – Goretzka, Kimmich – Gnabry, Wirtz, Werner – Füllkrug
