The week that could make or break Borussia Dortmund’s season

At the beginning of the season, if someone told you that Borussia Dortmund would be leading the Bundesliga with nine games to go, would you have believed them? Most fans would probably say no or would call you crazy.

There were many uncertainties surrounding Borussia Dortmund at the start of the season, and fans might have been right to take a realistic approach. With Marco Rose surprisingly being sacked and Edin Terzić suddenly becoming the ship’s captain with little experience, it might have thrown some BVB affectionate off the hype train.

But Terzić managed to overcome all doubts and find some stability after a rough start to the season. Thanks to a stunning upturn in form since the winter break, Borussia Dortmund have overcome a nine point gap and are now sitting one point clear of the reigning German champions.

This is undoubtedly Borussia Dortmund’s best chance to win the Bundesliga title in the last ten years. However, before fans can get their hopes up, BVB will have to face one of the most difficult and crucial sequence of matches of recent times.

The upcoming games will be massive for Borussia Dortmund’s title dreams. If the Black and Yellows can keep their form going and obtain a positive set of results in April, fans all over the world might dare to dream once again. And their first challenge will be the biggest one.
