Home vs. Union Berlin – (Bundesliga, April 8)

Borussia Dortmund’s season defining week will end with a home game against Union Berlin. The Berliners have proven to be a very tough opponent for Dortmund in recent seasons. And they also won the reverse fixture 2-0.

Union Berlin are continuing to reach new heights, and have outperformed expectations this season. They currently find themselves in third place in the Bundesliga, and also claimed an impressive 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt just before the international break.

Before facing Borussia Dortmund, Union Berlin will go up against Stuttgart at home before traveling to Frankfurt for the DFB-Pokal. So both teams will be in for two tough tests before their meeting in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund have put in the hard work and given themselves an excellent platform to push for the Bundesliga title heading into the business end of the season. And if they manage to get out of this week unscathed, Edin Terzić’s side will have a great opportunity to cement themselves as genuine contenders to lift the Meisterschale come May.
