A massive top of the table clash awaits Borussia Dortmund this weekend as they take on rivals Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

Two heavyweights of German football will collide in the Bundesliga on Saturday as league leaders Borussia Dortmund make the trip to Bayern Munich. We are all set for a crucial six pointer at the top of the Bundesliga standings, and both teams will have plenty on the line in this game.

Borussia Dortmund could not have asked for a better start to 2023, and they find themselves sitting at the top of the Bundesliga standings heading into the latest edition of Der Klassiker. They will be out to end their poor recent run in Munich. And Edin Terzic’s side are set to be boosted by the returns of a number of key players, including Gregor Kobel, Julian Brandt, Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko.

Nico Schlotterbeck and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens are both doubts ahead of the game, although the former did return to training on Thursday. Gio Reyna (illness) and Thomas Meunier (back injury) will miss the trip to Munich, Edin Terzic revealed during his pre-match press conference.

Bayern Munich will be without Manuel Neuer, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season. Lucas Hernandez is also sidelined, but Jamal Musiala is set to feature after recovering from his muscle injury.

Former Borussia Dortmund head coach Thomas Tuchel will take charge of his first game at Bayern Munich after replacing Julian Nagelsmann last week.
