Borussia Dortmund will be aiming to get their Bundesliga title bid back on track this weekend as they go up against Union Berlin.

The Bundesliga title race continues this weekend, with Borussia Dortmund taking on third placed Union Berlin. The two teams are separated by just two points in the Bundesliga table, and the Black and Yellows will be eager to extend that gap and also keep pace with league leaders Bayern Munich.

Edin Terzic’s side will go into Saturday’s game on the back of two straight defeats, and the morale in the BVB camp appears to be rather low as a result. But a win against Union Berlin could be just the boost they need to find their form again.

Borussia Dortmund will welcome Karim Adeyemi back into the squad on Saturday after he missed the trip to Leipzig due to suspension. Nico Schlotterbeck, Julien Duranville and Mateu Morey are all sidelined at the moment.

Gregor Kobel was Borussia Dortmund’s best performer on Wednesday, and he could be in for another tough test on Saturday against a talented Union Berlin side.

Marius Wolf should keep his spot at right-back, and Julian Ryerson could start on the opposite flank against his former club. With Nico Schlotterbeck injured, Mats Hummels and Niklas Süle will start in central defence on Saturday. Both players will be aiming to deliver much improved performances after struggling against Leipzig.

Jude Bellingham is set to return to the starting XI against Union Berlin, with Emre Can likely to start alongside him in midfield. Raphael Guerreiro could complete BVB’s midfield three, fresh after winning the Bundesliga player of the month award for March.

Donyell Malen will likely start on the right wing, and Marco Reus could play in the free role in attack. The BVB captain will be aiming to lead from the front on Saturday. Julian Brandt is also expected to be in contention to start despite his struggles against Leipzig.

Borussia Dortmund will be hoping to welcome Sebastien Haller back into the starting XI on Saturday, after the striker missed the trip to Leipzig. Youssoufa Moukoko could start up front if the Ivory Coast international is unable to recover in time.
