Borussia Dortmund will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga standings as they take on local rivals VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga on Friday.

There are just five games left in the Bundesliga this season and just one point separates title rivals Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich at the top of the standings. The Black and Yellows are set to face VfL Bochum on Friday evening in what could potentially be a very tricky away game for them.

Borussia Dortmund moved to the top of the Bundesliga standings last weekend after earning a dominant 4-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt. But their away form makes for a grim reading. Edin Terzic’s side have lost three and drawn two of their last five games away from home. And they cannot afford another setback on Friday if they want to win the Bundesliga title this season.

VfL Bochum were handed a crushing 5-1 defeat at home by Wolfsburg last weekend, and they go into the game just two points clear of 16th placed Stuttgart. They will be desperate to get something out of this Ruhr Derby to boost their hopes of avoiding relegation.
