Edin Terzic has given Jude Bellingham the all-clear after the midfielder picked up a knock during Borussia Dortmund’s win over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday.
Borussia Dortmund kept their hopes of winning the Bundesliga title alive on Saturday evening by cruising to a 5-2 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach. However, fans were given a bit of a scare towards the end as Jude Bellingham made the signal that he wanted to be substituted.
The England international appeared to be grabbing his knee and received some treatment from the BVB team doctor after the game.
Edin Terzic was asked for an update on Bellingham’s knee during the post-match press conference. And the Borussia Dortmund head coach allayed fans’ fears by revealing that he is sure the issue is not a serious one.
"“Jude picked up a knock on his knee towards the end and asked if he could come off. He was just in the dressing room though, already up and about again. We’re sure it’s nothing dramatic.”"
A full diagnosis on Bellingham’s issue, if needed, will likely be given by the club in the coming days.
Borussia Dortmund have two more games left to play this season, and the hope will certainly be that Jude Bellingham can feature in both of them. The Black and Yellows are currently locked in the Bundesliga title race and are one point behind Bayern Munich in the standings.
A trip to Bavaria lies ahead for Borussia Dortmund next Sunday, as they take on Bayern’s local rivals FC Augsburg. The reigning champions will be in action a day earlier against RB Leipzig, in a fixture that BVB will hope can change the course of the Bundesliga title race.
