Report: Real Madrid set to begin Jude Bellingham negotiations with Borussia Dortmund

Real Madrid are looking to begin talks with Borussia Dortmund over the signature of Jude Bellingham as early as this week.

The future of Jude Bellingham looks increasingly likely to lie away from Borussia Dortmund. Sebastian Kehl said on Sunday that they are not giving up hope of keeping the England international at the club for at least one more season. But it is being widely reported that Bellingham already has an agreement with place on personal terms with Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants are now ready to begin talks with Borussia Dortmund as they look to negotiate a fee for Bellingham’s signature. According to SportBILD, Real Madrid CEO José Ángel Sánchez wants to meet the BVB bosses this week to negotiate a transfer fee for the midfielder.

Borussia Dortmund will reportedly demand a transfer fee in the region of 150 million euros for Bellingham if he chooses to leave the club this summer. The magazine speculates that the two clubs will look to agree on a fixed fee of more than 100 million euros, and performance related bonuses are also expected to be added to any deal.

Real Madrid want to sign Jude Bellingham as the long term replacement for Luka Modric. The 19 year old is considered to be one of the most talented young midfielders in the world and has also taken on a leadership role at Borussia Dortmund this season.

Bellingham has made a total of 132 appearances for Borussia Dortmund since joining the club in 2020 from Birmingham City for a fee of around 25 million euros.
