Edin Terzic coy on Borussia Dortmund’s transfer plans

Edin Terzic has said that Borussia Dortmund are keeping their eyes and ears open as they look to further bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
It has been a fairly slow and underwhelming start to the summer for Borussia Dortmund, who have made just two new signings so far. But Edin Terzic is keen to ensure that they make wise choices in the transfer window, instead of chasing quick signings.
The Borussia Dortmund head coach spoke after his side’s 7-0 win over fifth division side Westfalia Rhynern in their first pre-season friendly of the summer.
"“It is important for me that we make good transfers, not quick transfers. Only two players have joined us so far, but there were also two new arrivals in January. Especially Julien Duranville, who has only just joined us because he was injured for so long.”“Not only do we exchange ideas, but we also keep our eyes and ears open to see what would make sense, what would strengthen our team, what would make us better.”"
Borussia Dortmund have lost a number of key players this summer, including the likes of Jude Bellingham, Raphael Guerreiro and Mahmoud Dahoud. And with Marco Reus also relinquishing his captaincy, there will be plenty of changes at BVB next season.
Sebastian Kehl spoke before the game, and underlined that he feels Borussia Dortmund are well positioned at the moment. He also said that the signing of Felix Nmecha will help them plug a few gaps in midfield, but added that they are still thinking about ways to further strengthen the squad.
"“We are essentially well-positioned, both in terms of our depth and the overall size of the squad. We are still in the process of thinking about whether we want to add to our squad in different positions. We will then also be able to react if something happens in terms of sales.”"
Borussia Dortmund will also hope for player sales to bring in the funds they need to sign new players. The Black and Yellows are hoping to sell the likes of Thorgan Hazard, Thomas Meunier and Nico Schulz this summer. Soumaïla Coulibaly was also expected to leave BVB. But his proposed move to Burnley has now collapsed.
