Edin Terzic refuses to rule out Borussia Dortmund signing a new striker

Edin Terzic has not ruled out signing a new striker this month to cover for Sebastien Haller when he leaves for the Africa Cup of Nations.
It has been reported in recent weeks that Borussia Dortmund could look to bring in a new striker to bolster their attacking options when Sebastien Haller has to leave for the Africa Cup of Nations in January. The Black and Yellows have even been linked with a possible move for PSG striker Hugo Ekitiké, although it remains to be seen just how much truth there is to that rumour.
Edin Terzic was asked about the possible arrival of a new striker at Borussia Dortmund this summer during Thursday’s press conference. And the BVB head coach was coy in his response.
"“I don’t want to speculate on possible transfers. But if you look in attack, you can see that we don’t have too many players who are over 6 feet tall. Sebastien Haller will be at the Africa Cup in the winter. And for those phases and profiles we exchange ideas and see if there are ways we can strengthen the team.”"
Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko are the two strikers in the Borussia Dortmund first-team squad at the moment. Although Donyell Malen and Karim Adeyemi are also more than capable of playing in that role. And U-23s striker Paul-Philipp Besong also featured for Edin Terzic’s side during pre-season.
Borussia Dortmund have made three signings so far this summer, bringing in Ramy Bensebaini, Felix Nmecha, and Marcel Sabitzer. There are still three weeks left before the transfer window closes. And it will be interesting to see what moves the BVB bosses decide to make before deadline day.
