Union Berlin are reportedly looking to bring Juventus centre-back Leonardo Bonucci to the Bundesliga, while Bayern Munich are thinking about signing David de Gea.
The 2023/24 Bundesliga season is set to get underway this weekend. But off the pitch, all 18 teams are looking to bring in further reinforcements before the transfer window closes. According to multiple reports in Italy, Union Berlin are in talks to sign Leonardo Bonucci.
The veteran centre-back has fallen out of favour at Juventus and is free to leave the Italian club. Now a move to the German capital could be in the offing for him.
It has been a very busy transfer window for Union Berlin as they look to prepare for their UEFA Champions League debut. Following their fourth place finish last season, Union Berlin have already signed the likes of Brenden Aaronson, Alex Kral, and David Datro Fofana. They are also on the verge of signing Robin Gosens from Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, after completing the signing of Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich have turned their focus to bringing in a new goalkeeper due to uncertainty over Manuel Neuer’s fitness.
Multiple reports claim that the reigning Bundesliga champions are considering a move for David de Gea, who is a free agent after leaving Manchester United at the end of last season.
Stefan Ortega (Manchester City) and Yassine Bounou (Sevilla) are also on Bayern Munich’s list of targets. Although Manchester City would like to keep the former Arminia Bielefeld goalkeeper at the club and are even willing to extend his contract.
