An embarrassing second half collapse saw Borussia Dortmund blow a two goal lead against newly promoted side Heidenheim, as they were held to a 2-2 draw.

Borussia Dortmund dropped points in unbelievable fashion on Friday as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Heidenheim. After taking a comfortable two goal lead through goals from Julian Brandt and Emre Can, the Black and Yellows imploded in the second half and allowed a spirited Heidenheim side to score twice.

Eren Dinkçi and Tim Kleindienst found the back of the net to give Heidenheim a share of the spoils and their first ever point in the Bundesliga.

It was another poor performance from Borussia Dortmund, who only have themselves to blame for this latest setback. Edin Terzic’s side now go into the international break with just one win from their opening three matches, which is simply not good enough for a team with title aspirations.

Here are our player ratings from Borussia Dortmund’s 2-2 draw against Heidenheim.

Gregor Kobel (6/10)

Kobel once again did his job and made a couple of key saves to prevent Borussia Dortmund from suffering an even more embarrassing result. But he was hapless with both of Heidenheim’s goals.
