Edin Terzic and Nico Schlotterbeck reportedly had an argument after the defender was left out of the starting XI for the Bundesliga clash against FC Köln.
Borussia Dortmund have endured a difficult start to the season and the atmosphere surrounding the club appears to be very tense at the moment. BILD are now claiming that there was a row between Nico Schlotterbeck and Edin Terzic after BVB’s home game against FC Köln in the Bundesliga.
The report adds that the defender wasn’t happy about the fact that he was left out of the starting XI for the game against Köln. Terzic is said to have reacted angrily to Schlotterbeck’s complaints, and an argument reportedly arose between the two.
The duo did manage to resolve the issue a few days later, and Schlotterbeck returned to the starting XI for BVB’s matchday two clash against VfL Bochum. He was also in the starting XI for the home game against Heidenheim last week.
The timing of the leak is far from ideal for Borussia Dortmund, who have won just one of their opening three Bundesliga matches this season. But with the matter now resolved, everyone involved will hope to move on and do their talking on the pitch when club football resumes after the international break.
Next up for the Black and Yellows is a trip to Nico Schlotterbeck’s former club SC Freiburg. Even this early in the season, the game against Freiburg appears to be a must-win one for BVB. Otherwise the pressure will pile further on Edin Terzic and co.
