Hoffenheim vs Borussia Dortmund: Team News, Preview
By Tushar Bahl
Borussia Dortmund will look to make it three wins in a row in the Bundesliga on Friday as they take on TSG Hoffenheim away from home.
Another tricky assignment awaits Borussia Dortmund on matchday six of the Bundesliga season, as they travel to the PreZero Arena to face TSG Hoffenheim on Friday. The Black and Yellows have won their last two matches in the Bundesliga, but their performances have been far from convincing.
Hoffenheim, on the other hand, are on a four game winning run. Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side defeated Union Berlin 2-0 last weekend, and will look to add Borussia Dortmund to their list of scalps on Friday.
Edin Terzic will be sweating on the fitness of Marcel Sabitzer ahead of the game. Thomas Meunier and Mateu Morey are also injured, but Julien Duranville could potentially return to the matchday squad after featuring for the U-19s last weekend.
Salih Özcan could start in midfield once again after replacing BVB captain Emre Can in the lineup against Wolfsburg. Marco Reus scored the winner against Wolfsburg, and is likely to start again on Friday.
Hoffenheim have enjoyed a strong start to the season, with their 3-5-2 formation proving to be very effective. Wout Weghorst and Andrej Kramarić will be key to their hopes on Friday. Highly rated forward Maximilian Beier is also in blistering form, having scored in each of Hoffenheim’s last four matches.
