Julian Brandt calls for patience with Felix Nmecha

Julian Brandt is confident that Felix Nmecha will come good at Borussia Dortmund despite a slow start following his big money move from Wolfsburg.
Felix Nmecha has not been able to make the desired impact since joining Borussia Dortmund from VfL Wolfsburg this summer. The Black and Yellows signed the Germany international as their Jude Bellingham replacement amid a lot of controversy for a fee of around 30 million euros.
Things have not gone according to plan on the pitch for Nmecha so far, and he especially had two games to forget last week as he struggled against both Paris Saint-Germain and former club Wolfsburg.
But Julian Brandt wants everyone to show a bit of patience with the 22 year old. The playmaker believes that the pressure is high on Nmecha due to the high transfer fee, but he must be given time to get used to things at his new club.
"“Of course people expect a lot, he comes with a heavy backpack because the transfer fee was very high. But you also have to give a player time to get used to things,” Brandt told Sky Sport (via FussballNews).“People have doubted a lot of things. Sometimes it’s a bit normal that these things happen. Mechanisms don’t always take effect immediately on day one. If you watch him in training, there are so many things that you would love.”"
Felix Nmecha was Borussia Dortmund’s preferred target to replace Jude Bellingham following the latter’s move to Real Madrid. And it is certainly not an easy task to replace one of the best young midfielders in the world. The hope at BVB will be that Nmecha can find his footing in the coming weeks and establish himself as an important part of the team for years to come.
