It will be third vs fourth in the Bundesliga this weekend as Borussia Dortmund go up against the high-flying VfB Stuttgart.

The final Bundesliga matchday before the international break sees Borussia Dortmund travel to Stuttgart. The Black and Yellows will look to get back to winning ways in the Bundesliga, having dropped points in their last two matches.

Borussia Dortmund did manage to return to winning ways earlier this week, as they saw off the challenge of Newcastle United. And Stuttgart will offer them with another tough test this weekend, especially with in-form striker Serhou Guirassy expected to make his return from injury.

Here we take a look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up for their Bundesliga clash against VfB Stuttgart.

Gregor Kobel looks set to captain Borussia Dortmund once again on Saturday, with Emre Can still sidelined due to injury. The Swiss shot-stopper is having another strong season in goal for BVB.

Niklas Süle has seemingly replaced Marius Wolf as the first-choice right-back and will likely start in that role again on Saturday. Mats Hummels and Nico Schlotterbeck are set to continue their partnership at centre-back, with Julian Ryerson once again expected to slot in at left-back. Ramy Bensebaini could also be an option for the left-back role, although he has not been used in the last two games.

Salih Özcan will once again start in the number six role for Borussia Dortmund in the club captain’s absence. It will be interesting to see who gets the nod to start alongside the Turkish international. Felix Nmecha and Marcel Sabitzer could well be vying for a spot in the middle of the park, and the latter could get the nod after impressing against Newcastle.

Marco Reus could be set for a return to the starting XI after being given a breather on Tuesday. The former club captain has scored four goals this season and also has a good record against Saturday’s opponents.

Julian Brandt has been Borussia Dortmund’s most proficient attacking player this season, with six goals and five assists to his name. He will likely start in the front three against Stuttgart.

Karim Adeyemi could also keep his spot in the team following his encouraging display against Newcastle. Niclas Füllkrug was also on target against Newcastle and will likely start on Saturday ahead of Youssoufa Moukoko.
