14 Borussia Dortmund players away on international duty

14 Borussia Dortmund players will be away with their national teams as club football takes a breather for the final international break of the year.
Julian Nagelsmann has included four Borussia Dortmund players in the Germany squad for their upcoming friendlies against Turkey and Austria. Mats Hummels, Niklas Süle, Julian Brandt and Niclas Füllkrug have all been called up. Felix Nmecha was also named in the squad, but has been forced to drop out due to a hip injury.
Switzerland have called up Gregor Kobel for their crunch Euro 2024 qualifiers against Israel, Kosovo, and Romania. Donyell Malen has been named in the Netherlands squad for their Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Ireland and Gibraltar.
Austria, who have already secured their Euro 2024 spot, will conclude their qualifying campaign against Estonia before facing Germany in a friendly match. Marcel Sabitzer has been included in Ralf Rangnick’s squad.
Gio Reyna is part of the United States squad for their two-legged Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals tie against Trinidad and Tobago.
Sebastien Haller and Ivory Coast will begin their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with fixtures against Seychelles and Gambia. Ramy Bensebaini will represent Algeria in their World Cup qualifiers against Somalia and Mozambique.
Salih Özcan will be away with Turkey for their friendly against Germany, and Euro 2024 qualifier against Wales. Julian Ryerson has been called up by Norway for their fixtures against Faroe Islands and Scotland.
Youssoufa Moukoko is in the Germany U-21s squad for their Euro U-21 qualifiers against Estonia and Poland. While Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has been named in the England U-21s squad for their matches against Serbia and Northern Ireland.
