Reinier comments on difficult Borussia Dortmund loan spell

Reinier has hinted that problems behind the scenes prevented him from living up to his potential during his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund.
Reinier spent two years on loan at Borussia Dortmund but failed to make his mark at the club. In 39 appearances on loan with the Black and Yellows, the talented Brazilian forward managed to register just one goal and one assist. Now the 21 year old has said that while the experience made him grow, he does not like to talk about it.
"In an interview with Diario AS, Reinier said:“It was an experience that made me grow, I played with great players and worked very hard. But I’ll be honest: I don’t like to talk about it. Things happened at the club that only my family and I know.”"
Reinier is still a Real Madrid player but has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Spanish giants. He spent last season out on loan at Girona, but injuries and poor form prevented him from making any real impact.
Real Madrid decided to loan out Reinier again this past summer, and he is currently playing for Italian side Frosinone. The 21 year old has found a bit of form in recent weeks, and has scored two goals and assisted a further two in six appearances for the Serie A side so far.
It remains to be seen what the long-term future holds for Reinier, who still has more than two years left on his current contract with Real Madrid, having joined them for a fee of around 30 million euros in January 2020.
