Even as Borussia Dortmund continue to reiterate how important is Serhou Guirassy is to their plans, a new transfer rumor surrounding the striker comes up every often.
It seems like a fresh one has come up with Serie A giants Juventus reportedly interested in the Guinean talisman and even making enquiries about him.
The Old Lady are the latest in a host of clubs linked with the striker, who was previously said to be on Turkish side Fenerbahce's radar while Premier League side Aston Villa were also considering him as potential replacement for Ollie Watkins in case the Englishman leaves.
According to Italian journalist Mirko Di Natale on X, Juventus have asked about Guirassy with Dortmund, who have demanded 40 million euros for the goalscorer.
The Turin outfit is currently in the process of rebuilding under Luciano Spaletti after a miserable league campaign that saw Juventus finish in sixth place and miss out on a Champions League qualification for the second time in four years.
It once again reinforced the theory that even though Die Borussen consider Guirassy a vital component of their squad, he's not indispensable and could be sold if the right offer comes.
So if Juventus (or any other club) meets the club's price tag, the 30-year-old could be on his way out of the Signal Iduna Park. And Dortmund sporting manager Nils-Ole Book has revealed this earlier too.
Since joining from VfB Stuttgart in 2024, Guirassy has been the face of this Dortmund side. He struck 38 goals in a phenomenal debut campaign before scoring another 22 times last season as the BVB were able to put up a serious title charge in the Bundesliga after two disappointing years.
His departure would leave a massive void up front but given Dortmund's record of excellent recruitments, one can bet their bottom dollar for them to come up with a solid replacement yet again.
Dortmund's best player missing from 2026 FIFA World Cup
It's a real travesty that Borussia Dortmund's best player couldn't make it to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where 10 players from the club are currently competing in.
Serhou Guirassy, who has been one of Europe's best strikers in the last two years, is missing in action at the north American showpiece after Guinea failed to qualify once again.
The National Elephants had a decent run, losing only three of their 10 qualifying games in the AFCON zone. Guirassy played in eight of those fixtures, but scored just once: against Somalia in a 3-0 victory on the penultimate matchday.
