Borussia Dortmund resume their Champions League campaign away to Bodo/Glimt on Wednesday, aiming to build on their winning start.

The BVB saw off Villarreal 3-2 in a nervy victory at the Westfalonstadion last month to clinch all three points on the opening day of the competition's 2026-27 season.

However, Niko Kovac's side are currently reeling from a late collapse at home to Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga, letting slip a two-goal lead in the dying stages to draw 2-2.

It ended their perfect start to the new top-flight campaign and were demoted to second place too, albeit only by virtue of goal-difference.

Dortmund now face another potential banana skin in Bodo/Glimt tomorrow, as the sides resume hostilities just a year on from their first meeting.

The Norwegian side visited Signal Iduna Park on 11 December 2025 and claimed a point off their League Phase draw by fighting back twice as the game ended 2-2.

It was one of the many surprising results that Superlaget picked up en route to a Round of 16 finish, including a pair of 3-1 wins over Manchester City and Inter Milan.

But in the new season, Bodo/Glimt couldn't have got off to a worse start, as Dortmund's rivals Bayern Munich dealt them a 5-0 drubbing on the opening day.

As for Dortmund, long-term absentee Emre Can remains out with the German not expected to return until 2027 whereas Julian Ryerson is also recovering from a rib injury he sustained while on international duty.
