Borussia Dortmund's injury situation appears to be easing up as they get ready to take on SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga this weekend.
The international break is almost over and club football will return this weekend with Borussia Dortmund looking to continue their 100% record at home when they take on SC Freiburg. The Black and Yellows had to deal with an injury crisis ahead of the international break, as a number of key players were sidelined with various injury problems.
The situation is thought to be easing up, with Sky Sport reporting that Waldemar Anton is set to make his return to the squad this weekend. In addition to the centre-back, Gio Reyna and Julien Duranville are also back in training.
Karim Adeyemi's return isn't far away either, but it looks like the Freiburg game will come too soon for him. The status of Niklas Süle remains unclear at the moment and he is set to miss Saturday's Bundesliga clash, according to the report.
Gregor Kobel will also make his return to the Borussia Dortmund starting XI on Saturday, having made his comeback from injury during the international break. Jamie Gittens has also seemingly overcome the injury that forced him to withdraw from England U-21s duty.
This will come as a big boost for Nuri Sahin, who will hope to turn things around at Borussia Dortmund in the coming weeks. BVB find themselves in seventh place in the Bundesliga standings, one point shy of Saturday's opponents SC Freiburg (who are currently fifth).
