Borussia Dortmund are on a roll - at least in the Bundesliga. And the stats don't lie. They have lost just once all season - the lowest alongside leaders and defending champions Bayern Munich, while their points tally of 45 in 20 games is the highest bar the Bavarians.
More importantly, Niko Kovac's side are currently on the longest active unbeaten run in the competition right now, having gone their last 13 top-flight fixtures without a loss. Their last and only defeat of the campaign came on 18 October against - surprise surprise - Bayern, who beat them 2-1 at the Allianz Arena.
Earlier on in the season, Vincent Kompany's side were on an 18-game unbeaten run from the start, ending recently with a 2-1 loss to Augsburg who pulled off a big upset in Munich. That reset the unbeaten stats in the competition, now led by Dortmund.

The 13-game undefeated streak is their longest in a single Bundesliga campaign since the 2018-19 season, when Lucien Favre's side went the first 15 matches of the competition without a loss - a testament to their fiery run of form under Kovac.
For context, the next best run in the Bundesliga right now is that of Hoffenheim and Stuttgart, both of whom are seven games without a loss. But the former holds the best winning run in the competition right now with five consecutive wins.
Although they still are some way off matching the historic 26-game stretch without a defeat in a single league season witnessed under Jurgen Klopp during the 2011-12 season, Dortmund's incredible form is shaping up an exiciting title race.
As Bayern have faltered lately, dropping points in two consecutive games after a shock home loss to Augsburg before a draw away to Hamburger, Dortmund have been able to trim the gap to just six points now.
At the start of the year, the gap between the Der Klassiker rivals was increased to 11 points as Der BVB returned from the winter break with a pulsating 3-3 draw to Eintracht Frankfurt. But four wins from their next four has opened up the title race.
Having last won the Meisterschale in 2012, Dortmund are eager to end their drought and finally return to the pinnacle of the German top-tier football again, although Bayern remain a force under Vincent Kompany.
After seeing their decade-long hegemony ended by Bayer Leverkusen in 2024, Bayern stormed back to win the league title again last year and have so far looked solid in their defense. They face Dortmund on 28 February in what could be a deciding match for the league.
