Borussia Dortmund realized their opponents for the first round of the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League season in Thursday's draw and now, the exact order of fixtures have been decided too.
The BVB were drawn against Inter Milan, Arsenal, Villarreal, Real Betis, Bodo/Glimt, AEK Athens, Aston Villa and Sabah FK.
In whats appears a relatively straight-forward draw, Niko Kovac's side are expected to advance into the Round of 16 directly with a top-eight finish, avoiding another daunting prospect of a knockout playoff as last season.
Champions of 1996-97 season, Dortmund are among the dark horses in the competition, especially after their exciting squad revamp that saw them add some young and exciting talents to the roster.
Here's the exact lineup of their Champions League fixtures for the League Phase this season:
1) Dortmund vs Villarreal (8 September)
The Black and Yellow begin their 21st Champions League campaign this month at home to Villarreal in a rematch of last year's game at the same stage of the competition.
2) Bodo/Glimt vs Dortmund (14 October)
Another side which Dortmund faced last season too was Bodo/Glimt. But while that fixture was held at the Signal Iduna Park, this one is scheduled for frosty conditions in northern Norway.
3) Sabah vs Dortmund (20 October)
Here, we have an all-new fixture on our hands as Dortmund face Sabah for the first time. Scheduled for matchday three of the League Phase, the BVB visit Baku, Azerbaijan for this.
4) Dortmund vs Real Betis (4 November)
Another new rival in Real Betis awaits Dortmund, who host them at the iconic Westfalonstadion on matchday four. The Seville outfit will be the ninth Spanish team they'd face in their European history.
5) Arsenal vs Dortmund (24 November)
We already saw this in the Emirates Cup last month, but the rivals now renew hostilities in Europe after 12 years. And this too, will be at the Emirates. Matchday five will be an exciting one for BVB fans.
6) Dortmund vs Inter Milan (9 December)
Another rematch of last season's fixture, Serie A champions Inter return to Dortmund this year for matchday six of the League Phase.
7) Aston Villa vs Dortmund (19 January)
Despite the rich European history of these sides, Villa and Dortmund will be meeting for the first time this season. Birmingham will be the stage of their inaugural meeting, in their sixth game of the round.
8) Dortmund vs AEK Athens (27 January)
Dortmund will conclude the round against another new opponent in AEK Athens, the new Super League Greece champions.
