Borussia Dortmund concluded a hectic, punishing and tumultuous run of fixtures in October with an encouraging 2-2 draw away to arch-rivals Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga on Saturday, ending a marathon of seven games in 21 days. But it doesn't stop here. November brings a new set of challenges for Niko Kovac's side. Here's a rundown of five games they are scheduled to play this month:

Real Betis (UEFA Champions League, 4 November)

Borussia Dortmund start off the month with a home game against Real Betis in the Champions League. The Blanquivermells are the 10th Spanish team that Dortmund will face in their European history and can expect a challenge against the Seville outfit that is currently in fourth place in the LaLiga standings.

SV Elversberg (Bundesliga, 7 November)

Another first time encounter for Borussia Dortmund, this time in the Bundesliga as their top-flight campaign continues at home against promoted side Elversberg, who are making their competition debut this season. With four wins from their first eight games, the Black and White have punched above their weight so far and will be aiming to pull off a real scalp here.

Borussia Monchengladbach (Bundesliga, 21 November)

Borussia Dortmund return from the international break with a trip to the Borussia-Park where bottom side Borussia Monchengladbach await them. The Foals are rooted at the foot of the table right now with just one win in eight and at their current rate, are heading to 2.Bundesliga after 20 years in the German top tier. This should be an easy win for the BVB.

Arsenal (UEFA Champions League, 24 November)

Now here's a big one. A Champions League game away at the home of the reigning Premier League champions. This will be a real test of Dortmund's mettle. Although Niko Kovac's side pulled off a 3-2 win at the Emirates during the preseason, the Gunners are a different kettle of fish in a competitive game like this one and like Dortmund, held Bayern to a 2-2 draw in Munich last month.

Bayer Leverkusen (Bundesliga, 29 November)

Dortmund conclude the month with another enticing league clash against Bayer Leverkusen, although home comforts hand them an advantage. After a series of wins, Die Werkself have lost their most recent two Bundesliga games and slipped to sixth position in the top-flight table as their defense has looked shaky lately. The prolific duo of Serhou Guirassy and Fabio Silva will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing Leverkusen.
