Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur are planning a swoop for Borussia Dortmund star Serhou Guirassy as they aim to bolster their attacking arsenal.

According to a report by German media outlet Fussballdaten, Spurs hope to bring the Guinean international to north London this summer and have even contacted his agent.

Guirassy is under contract with the Black and Yellows until June 2028 and Dortmund are said to only entertain offers in the range of £64-69 million before sanctioning his departure.

Since his transfer from VfB Stuttgart in 2024, the 29-year-old has been an instrumental figure in Dortmund's attacking vanguard. In 88 games till now, he's netted 55 goals including 33 in the Bundesliga from 55 appearances.

His tally of 21 goals in the league last seaosn were bettered only by Bayern's Harry Kane while Guirassy also swooped the Champions League Golden Boot with a remarkable tally of 13 goals from 14 games, which included a stunning hat-trick against Barcelona in the quarter-finals.

Although he's had his fare share of ups and downs this season, but Guirassy has remained a key player for the Black and Yellows, even popping up with some vital winners in their recent Bundesliga games.

Naturally, there's considerable hype around the player with AC Milan and Barcelona reportedly interested in him too. Moreover this could also be Guirassy's last big move of his career given his advancing age.

The prospect of playing in the Premier League could be tempting for him as the striker has never played there before, but Tottenham Hotspur's fate hasn't been sealed yet.

Having finished 17th in the league last season to narrowly avoid an embarrassing relegation, the Lilywhites find themselves in a similar situation again following another disappointing run.

With just seven wins and 30 points in the bag from as many games, Tottenham are currently in 16th place and just one point clear of 18th-placed West Ham with only eight games remaining.

If the side were to snap up a prolific striker like Guirassy, then a top-flight survival would be imperative, although the lack of European football could still be a stumbling block.

Tottenham desperately need a talismanic forward who can guarantee them a bundle of goals as they have struck only 40 times in the Premier League so far, averaging just over a goal per game. But their league struggles could make it hard for them to land one.
