Borussia Dortmund continue their Bundesliga season at home to SV Elversberg on Saturday, revitalized following another Champions League win earlier in the week.
The BVB defeated Real Betis 2-1 at the Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday as Fabio Silva and Konstantinos Karetsas were on target for Niko Kovac's side.
It was their fourth win of the last five games in all competitions, signaling a return to form after a mini slump last month.
Dortmund also remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga after opening eight games, a first since the 2021-22 season.
They even managed to hold Bayern Munich away from home last weekend, with Silva bagging an 89th-minute equalizer to snatch a point for the BVB.
Wiith another international break coming up, Dortmund players will be aiming to head into it on a positive note by clinching another victory.
However, it would be easier said than done against a resilient Elversberg side that is punching above its weight in its maiden Bundesliga campaign.
Gaining top-flight promotion for the first time in history this summer, the Black and White are in seventh place in the league standings with four wins and 13 points in the bag.
In their last outing, the Saarland outfit thumped Mainz 4-1 in a dominant attacking display with Felix Keidel, Francis Onyeka, Maurice Krattenmacher and Cole Campbell getting on target.
