Borussia Dortmund welcome Werder Bremen back to Signal Iduna Park for the second time in 18 days as the Bundesliga rivals face off in the second round of the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday, 27 October.

It marks their ninth meeting in the domestic cup, with the previous eight resulting in four wins for each side as the balance is fine poised right now.

When they met for their first league meeting earlier this month, Dortmund blew away a two-goal advantage late on to draw 2-2 as Bremen produced a shock comeback.

It was the start of a form slump for the Black and Yellow, who went three consecutive games without a win before finally getting their act together last week with back-to-back wins over Sabah FK and Eintracht Frankfurt.

As the BVB are out to exact revenge, here are three players who deserve a chance to play:

Note: Only players below 20 years of age have been considered.

1) Joane Gadou

Dortmund's best summer signing so far, Joane Gadou has become a corner stone in their three-man backline with his devastating link-ups, pacy recovery in transitions and positional awareness to closely mark his opposite numbers.

The Frenchman came off the bench against Eintracht Frankfurt in their last clash but is likely to return to the XI tomorrow with Ramy Bensebaini serving a suspension, and his inclusion in the XI is very deserved too as Gadou has demonstrated the scale of his potential with a series of reliable displays in defense.

2) Mathis Albert

Dortmund's American fans were expecting Mathis Albert to play a bigger role in the side after his breakout international campaign with USMNT in the last international window. But what's transpired since has been truly disappointing, as Albert continues to remain on the fringes of Dortmund.

Tomorrow, however, he should be given a chance to express himself, as the 17-year-old possesses uncanny dribbling ability and can carry the ball forward into dangerous attacking areas with his exceptional control. Albert could prove to be a nightmare for Werder Bremen's porous defense.

3) Enzo Duarte

The least likely of all players to start tomorrow, but Enzo Duarte at least deserves a chance to come off the bench and get a few minutes under his belt. The 17-year-old teen also had a promising international camaipgn with Luxembourg recently, demonstrating his composure on the ball and ability to pick out teammates from tight spaces too.

Werder Bremen's midfield has been particularly vulnerable in transitions. Duarte's pace and direct running could help the BVB exploit the spaces they leave in behind while committing bodies forward and leave them vulnerable.
