Borussia Dortmund have announced their starting lineup to face SV Elversberg in the Bundesliga tonight in their last game before the international break.

The BVB are aiming to continue their rich vein of form right now and pick up another win in the league to head into the international window level on points with leaders Bayern Munich (or even ahead, if they drop points away to Mainz).

Niko Kovac has made three changes to his lineup from the Real Betis encounter in the Champions League on Wednesday, as Carney Chukwuemeka, Konstantinos Karetsas and Joane Gadou return to the XI.

Karetsas is rewarded for his winning goal against Betis, while Fabio Silva also retains his place in the lineup after another talismanic display in the midweek. But the biggest miss is Serhou Guirassy.

The striker went off after just 34 minutes into the kick-off with a discomfort from an earlier collission with the post and thereby misses out tonight.

Julian Ryerson, the star of the Betis win, is also on the bench against the promoted side, but could be subbed into the match later.

Fans are particularly happy to see Kovac switch to a back-four again, a formation that has yielded good results lately, fueling hopes of another positive outcome here.

Here's how the fans reacted to the XI:

One X user named Florian offered some words of encouragement:
