Borussia Dortmund extended their winning run in all competitions to five games after beating Paderborn 3-0 in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Fabio Silva put the BVB in front after only five minutes into the kick-off, before substitute Felix Nmecha added two in the final 10 minutes that sealed the contest.

Niko Kovac's side were bolstered by the return of Nico Schlotterbeck, who started for the first time this season while Ethan Nwaneri made his first start for the club since joining.

Paderborn, who remain goalless in the Bundesliga this season, looked menacing earlier on as they controlled the ball and made a few dangerous-looking attempts at goal.

Escatic Dortmund supporters took to X to share their thoughts on the game. Here are some of the best reactions:

One X user felt there's still room for improvement in terms of Dortmund's overall footballing quality:

"Important three points, but in terms of actual football, the performance remains incredibly poor.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect better, more polished football from this squad.
Everyone at the club can—and must—expect that from Kovac."

Another user hailed the squad depth, as they wrote:

"5th competitive match, 5th win!!! 💪

Far from perfect for long stretches – but ultimately a commanding victory!

Great squad depth: the introduction of Sabitzer, Carney, Beier, and Nmecha brought more control and attacking threat in the closing stages.

Jobe playing much more vertically and posing a greater goal threat than last season!"

However, one user portended a bad result in their next against Stuttgart:

"Apart from the first half against HSV, BVB has consistently been outplayed by Hoffenheim, Bayern, Villarreal, and Paderborn. The reckoning will come against Stuttgart. It’s going to be a massacre."

This fan felt Dortmund should have score well over three goals on the day:

"A poor performance, yet—given the chances—they should have scored six goals."

This user wrote an analytical assessment of the side after the win:

"Negative: We play without a game plan when in possession; it looks poor, and we only win thanks to individual quality. Once again, Kovač contributed very little to the victory.

Positive: You don't get the feeling that we could lose to anyone—except Bayern."

One fan was content at watching the side win yet again:

"In the end, it’s the win that counts—that’s what matters. Of course, we really need to put the game to bed much earlier. But for now, it’s good that the results are going our way. Always onwards, Borussia! 🖤🖤💛💛"
