Borussia Dortmund have reportedly denied receiving any bid from Turkish side Fenerbahce for striker Serhou Guirassy amid recent links.
The club has in fact reiterated that he's not for sale although rumors suggest they could consider offers above a certain price range.
BVB dismiss Fenerbahce rumors
In recent times, reports had emerged suggesting that Fenerbahce have contacted Dortmund in a sensational bid for Guirassy.
The Yellow Canaries were looking to bolster their attacking vanguard by roping in another prolific goalscorer in order to challenge Galatasaray for the Super Lig title next season.
But the BVB managing director Lars Ricken cleared the air by revealing that Dortmund haven't received any offer for the 30-year-old nor is he up for sale.
""We have no offer for Serhou. We also have no intention of letting him go. He has impressively proven his value for Borussia Dortmund over the past two seasons.""he said speaking to WAZ Ricken
Fenerbahce make Guirassy their election motto
Much of Fenerbahce's links to the BVB marksman was down to his name being called out regularly at club election campaigns. Presidential candidate Aziz Yildirim made his intentions of signing Guirassy known shall he win the election.
Meanwhile his rival Hakan Safi also weighed in, promising the Fenerbahce faithful some new transfer "announcements" while highlighting that whoever becomes the new President will get the Guinean ace's signatures.
Dortmund open to 'extraordinary' offers
Although the BVB insist that Guirassy is not for sale, it would take a massive financial bid for them to even enter in talks. According to local media, offers exceeding only €40 million can prompt Dortmund to open negotiations for him.
Such a hefty price tag is a reflection of Guirassy's importance in the squad as the goalscorer has been in top form since joining from Stuttgart in 2024. Following a barnstorming 38-goal return in his debut campaign, the forward added another 22 to his tally in 2025-26 season.
It's also mentioned that the release clause currently in Guirassy's contract, which runs until 2028, is reportedly not applicable for Fenerbahce, which gives Dortmund the leverage over any possible move for him to the Istanbul club.
""With his goals he is very, very important. So it is not our plan and not our premise to say that we want to give him away. Nevertheless, here too: if extraordinary offers come in, one will think about it.""added BVB sporting manager Nils-Ole Book
