Borussia Dortmund star Marcel Sabitzer was on target for Austria again on Tuesday as his side beat South Korea 1-0 in a friendly game.

The midfielder scored the only goal of the game in the 48th minute to make it two goals in two this international break as Sabitzer had also found the net in their 5-1 demolition of Ghana the week before.

His latest goal was also the 25th with Das Team, putting him 10th on the all-time list of goalscorers for Austria which is a remarkable feat considering he's only a midfielder.

Sabitzer is also edging ever closer to hitting a century of appearances with the national team as the player is currently on 97 caps and could join an elite list of players in their history to have played at least 100 times for Austria.

If he continues to play every game ahead, the 32-year-old could achieve the milestone against world champions Argentina at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, no less.

The match against Ghana also saw Carney Chukwuemeka make his second international appearance, as the young gun came off the bench after the hour mark.

Having scored on his debut last week against South Korea, Chukwuemeka couldn't add to his tally here but would still be content with having seen a few minutes.

In other news, Dortmund hitman Serhou Guirassy missed a penalty for Guinea as the side lost 1-0 to Benin in an international friendly.

Just days on from their 2-2 draw with Togo wherein the striker netted an 89th-minute equalizer as the Elephants fought back a two-goal deficit, Guirassy contrived to misfire a spot-kick here which proved costly.

It was his first penalty miss for Guinea and a ninth overall in his career, while having scored 29 for club and country before.

We also were supposedly going to have a Dortmund derby in Oslo on Tuesday as Norway faced Switzerland with Julian Ryerson and Gregor Kobel on collission course.

However, that didn't happen as neither player started the match. While Kobel remained an unused substitute for La Nati, Ryerson came off the bench for the Nordic side.

Moreover the match was also a drab affair was the sides played a goalless stalemate. But later in June, we could have another potential face-off between Dortmund players when Norway play Sweden in a pre-World Cup warmup as Ryerson could face Svensson, who qualified for the tournament with the Blagult after their hard-fought win over Poland.
