Borussia Dortmund have tied down Samuele Inacio to a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2029, a new that will surely be met with ecstacy among the BVB faithful.

Inacio has been mounting a meteoric rise to prominance with the club lately, even firing in his debut goal for the Black and Yellows last weekend.

The 18-year-old Italian teenager has made six appearances for Dortmund, including a first start last weekend, and could be rewarded for his heroics against Eintracht Frankfurt with a place in the XI once more on Saturday.

Inacio spoke of the excitement at scoring his first goal for the club in his very first start, while emphasizing he's content with life in Dortmund:

""I feel very happy at Dortmund and am proud to have made my Bundesliga debut at this great club. The feeling of scoring my first goal in front of the Yellow Wall was incredible, and I want to celebrate many more successful moments with my team, the club, and its incredible fans in the future.""

Dortmund's managing director Lars Ricken was all the praises for the young gun after the extension was signed, believing that he could develop into an 'exceptional' player going ahead:

""With his skills and potential, Samu is one of the greatest talents of his age group worldwide. We're convinced that with his dedication and quality, he can develop into an exceptional player. He's an important part of our team's development, and we're delighted that we have been able to secure his long-term commitment.""
said Ricken

Sporting director Nils-Ole Book highlighted his incredible qualities:

""Samu brings a lot to the table: He's intelligent on the pitch, comfortable the ball, and good at combination play. He also has a very good sense of space, which makes him a goal threat. These qualities, combined with his hard work and his willingness to improve, make him a really good player who has already developed well with us and still has big steps ahead.""
said Ole Book

Born in Bergamo on 2 April 2008, Inacio joined Dortmund in 2024 as he continued his development at the club's youth academy before breaking into their reserve side.

Earlier this year, Inacio made his senior debut with the Black and Yellows, coming on for Maximilian Beier in the 75th minute of their Der Klassiker loss to Bayern Munich on 28 February.
