Borussia Dortmund return to Signal Iduna Park on Saturday with a clash against a resurgent Augsburg in the Bundesliga.
The BVB are looking to build on their last win, a narrow 2-1 victory over FC Koln which ended their two-game winless run in the league.
It brought them up to 55 points from 25 games, 11 behind leaders Bayern Munich but eight clear of the fifth-side as top-four finish appears increasingly likely for them.
Now back on home turf this weekend, Niko Kovac's side will look to build on it as they aim to consolidate their position in second place of top-flight standings.
1) Dortmund's superior head-to-head record
Borussia Dortmund boast an overwhelmingly good record to Augsburg, winning 18 of their 30 clashes to date and losing only five times (two on home turf). In their earlier meeting this season too, the Black and Yellows prevailed 1-0 in Bavaria, with Serhou Guirassy netting the only goal of the game in the 37th minute.
The stat alone gives the home side a psychological advantage. Couple that with their terrific home record in the Bundesliga this season - just one loss from 12 games at the Signal Iduna Park and nine wins - Kovac's swashbuckling team will be relishing the prospect of facing the Fuggerstadter again.
2) Second and fourth best teams since winter break
Since returning from the winter break in January, Borussia Dortmund have amassed the most points in the Bundesliga after only Bayern Munich with 23 from a possible 30.
Meanwhile, Augsburg have been the fourth-best side in the competition during this period after accumulating 17 points. Most notably, they inflicted Bayern with their first top-flight loss of the season by eking out a commanding 2-1 victory at the Allianz Arena.
They also finished February with three successive league wins, beating Heidenheim (1-0), Wolfsburg (3-2) and FC Koln (2-1) in consecutive games before RB Leipzig brought them back to earth with a 2-1 win .
3) The Schlotterbeck derby
An interesting storyline ahead of the kick-off is the enticing showdown between Dortmund star Nico Schlotterbeck and his brother, Keven Schlotterbeck, both of whom are key defenders for their respective sides.
Nico has developed into a leader in defense, leading the BVB backline with aplomb while also driving forward at will to contribute offensively with vital goals.
Keven is also a vital component of Augsburg's defense, showing excellent positional awareness and game-reading ability to emerge as a reliable option for them in defense.
