Borussia Dortmund are reportedly putting up Serhou Guirassy and Karim Adeyemi on their transfer list this summer as the club is looking to cope with financial difficulties.

The Bundesliga side could be left with a transfer budget of just 20 million euros for the summer transfer window, a woefully small figure for a side of their stature.

Die Schwarzgelben's early exit from Europe has triggered the crisis, forcing them to reconsider the existing contracts of some of their big stars, including the aforesaid duo.

Guirassy has been a vital player in the squad since joining in 2024, bagging 55 goals from 87 appearances while chipping in with a further 15 assists. His contract with Dortmund runs until 2028 and is estimated to be valued at 40 million euros.

Serie A giants AC Milan have expressed interest in the talismanic forward although there have been reports of his agent offering him to Saudi Arabia as Guirassy hopes for one last big contract as he nears 30 years of age.

As for Adeyemi, the diminutive attacker is instrumental to Dortmund's vanguard, setting up chances for his attacking cohorts while possessing a keen eye for goal too. He's made 141 appearances for the BVB while bagging 34 goals and assisting another 24.

The German international is under contract with Dortmund until 2027 and is valued at 60 million euros. Given his relatively young age, Adeyemi could have no shortage of suitors from the big quarters of Europe, while the player himself is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League.

Dortmund hope to raise at least €110 million from the potential departures of Adeyemi and Guirassy this summer, as the players could join the increasing list of players who are set to leave the Signal Iduna Park.

This week, midfield phenom Julian Brandt was confirmed to depart after his contract expires in June and now, Niklas Sule and Salih Ozcan are reportedly heading their way out of the club too with their terms also coming to an end.

By contrast, Felix Nmecha has extended his contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2030, but their disappointing performance in the Champions League, exiting in the knockout playoff round to Atalanta after a collapse in the second leg, means they are forced to make up for the losses with some big sales.

It will be interesting to see how the Black and Yellows replace Guirassy, Adeyemi and Brandt.
