Borussia Dortmund play Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Saturday in one of their last away games of the league season.

The Black and Yellows are still reeling from their shock 1-0 home loss to Bayer Leverkusen last weekend as Bayern Munich were left on the brink of the title.

It was only their third top-flight loss of the season but kept Dortmund 12 points behind the Bavarians with only five games remaining.

But they'd still be encouraged to see that Hoffenheim are doing worse right now with the Sinsheim outfit going four consecutive Bundesliga games without a win.

Here's what to look forward to in the game:

1) Dortmund take on Hoffenheim in downward spiral

Die Kraichgauer were on a rampage in January, going seven games unbeaten and winning six. But that momentum slowly started fading from February onwards. The side's win percent declined dramatically as their form inexplicably turned erratic.

Get this: since the 5-1 hammering at the hands of Bayern, Hoffenheim have won just twice in eight games, including none from their last four. RB Leipzig also inflicted a heavy defeat upon them during this run, crushing the side 5-0.

2) BVB's stellar run in Hoffenheim

Dortmund would also be pleased to see their record away to Hoffenheim, having won on their last five consecutive visits. On three of these occasions, the BVB struck thrice at the PreZero Arena, including a 3-2 victory last season.

In fact, Hoffenheim's last home win over Dortmund came in December 2019 when the side beat them 2-1 in the league. Now with a 2-0 win at Signal Iduna Park earlier this season, the Black and Yellows are also looking to complete their first league double in the fixture since 2022-23 season.

3) Clash of menacing attacking vanguards

It's a battle of Bundesliga's second-best frontline against the fourth, with Dortmund netting 60 goals in the league from 29 games this season and Hoffenheim bagging 57.

Moreover, the BVB have failed to score in just one league match this season: a 1-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen last weekend, ending their long run in the Bundesliga.

Hoffenheim have drawn a blank on five occasions but have also managed to score an umpteen number of goals in many other games, making them a menacing side.

Andrej Kramaric has once again been their chief supplier of goals, netting 10 times, while Serhou Guirassy is the most prolific in the Dortmund camp with 13 in the Bundesliga.
