According to Bild, Jamie Gittens is pushing for a transfer from Borussia Dortmund. Despite a promising beginning, the young Englishman has not played many minutes in recent months and has hardly showcased his best football since Niko Kovač arrived at the club.
However, Borussia Dortmund were previously reported to accept bids around 50 to 60 million euros, which is not what English teams are reportedly willing to pay. As reported by Bild, the idea in England regarding the transfer fee for Jamie Gittens is around the region of 40 million euros, which is 10 to 20 million euros less than what the Black and Yellows want for Gittens.
Jamie Gittens started the 2024/2025 season in incredible fashion for Borussia Dortmund. With two clutch goals against Eintracht Frankfurt in the season opener, Gittens gave hope to BVB fans that this would be his breakout campaign. However, despite a very good start to the season, the young talent declined in form, and following Niko Kovač's appointment as BVB manager, Jamie has not been the same since.
He ended the season with 12 goals and five assists in all competitions, totalizing almost 3000 minutes in Black and Yellow, which is not bad whatsoever. However, Jamie Gittens dropped considerably in form from what his season was promised to be. At the same time, it wouldn't be enough to decrease his price tag as much. With a 50 million euros valuation, according to Transfermarkt, BVB should not settle for less money, as Gittens is still a very promising player.
