Following his move to Borussia Dortmund from Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday, Fabio Silva already has a message for BVB fans. The forward is expected to bolster the club’s attack following the departures of Jamie Gittens, Gio Reyna and Sebastien Haller.

Silva arrived in Dortmund on Thursday, passed his medical and signed a contract. He will wear the No. 21 jersey for the Black and Yellows and could make his debut after the September international break ends.

Speaking on his first interview for BVB, the 23-year-old Portuguese star was asked to describe himself to Dortmund fans who might not be familiar with his game. He called himself different, but they should expect him to fight for BVB, score goals and dish out assists.

"Different. I think I like being different, and they can expect me to fight for the club. Of course, it's important for a striker to score goals and provide assists, but I think I'm a player who can give more to the team, to be a part of it. With my runs, my movements, my tackling. I think I feel like a very complete player at this stage of my career. I can be ready for what the coach needs, and I'm really excited and want to be with the team and become as successful as possible."

In a total of 209 appearances across all competitions for Porto, Wolves, Anderlecht, PSV, Rangers and Las Palmas, Silva has scored a total of 48 goals and provided 21 assists. He had his best year last season in Spain, netting 10 goals and tallying three assists in 24 La Liga appearances.

Silva joins a loaded attack that also includes Serhou Guirassy, Maxi Beier, Karim Adeyemi, Julien Duranville, Cole Campbell, Julian Brandt and Carney Chukwuemeka. Beier has been linked to Brentford, but Dortmund reportedly turned down a €52 million offer, as per David Ornstein of The Athletic.
