It was a night of debuts for Borussia Dortmund in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup on Saturday, with four of their new signings making their competitive debut for the club.

Among them was Giannis Konstantelias, BVB's exciting €26million-transfer from PAOK Thessaloniki who came off the bench in the second half.

Having only joined five days before the Der Klassiker and just a few training sessions under his belt, the 23-year-old still managed to make a good impression in his first appearance.

The Greek gun created Silva's goal with a fabulous run in the half-space on the left before cutting inside to draw Bayern players towards him and then send a wonderful through ball for Daniel Svensson, who then squared it for Silva to slot home for 2-1.

Earlier on, he also teed up Serhou Guirassy inside the box but the Guinean international was unable to connect with it properly and the chance went begging.

Though his debut turned sour due to the defeat, fans couldn't ignore his eye-catching cameo on the night and were in complete awe of Konstantelias.

Here are some of the best fan reactions on X:

One X account posted a highlight reel of him making a pristine first touch in the match, with a caption that read:

"Giannis Konstantelias and one of the sweetest first touches you will ever see."

Another user was finally convinced by the hype created around him by supporters of his former club, PAOK:

"Paok fans really weren't lying. Konstantelias is the real deal. What a baller!"

This fan seemed to be blown away by his cameo, as they tweeted:

"GIANNIS KONSTANTELIAS CHANGED THE GAME IN HIS FIRST SECONDS WITH ONLY ONE TRAINING WITH THE TEAM.

HE IS A MIRACLE!"

Another fan was delighted to see both of BVB's Greek guns on the pitch together:

"We got 17 minutes of Konstantelias and Karetsas on the field today. It’s hard to put into words HOW promising this looks. We're in for an absolute treat."

Another X user was in disbelief that no major club has signed Konstantelias until now:

"This Konstantelias guy is crazy good how come he stayed in Greece for so long"

Another fan noted how the BVB faithful were firmly behind their new boy in the game:

"Giannis Konstantelias’ first, second and third touches for Dortmund see him dart between two Bayern defenders to earn a free kick and a huge roar from the south stand.
"

And finally, a positive analysis of his game:

"Konstantelias stocks I’m investing heavily.

The second half vs Bayern was basically a trailer for what Konstantelias can become at Dortmund. The first touch, the ability to receive under pressure, the manipulation of defenders before releasing the ball there’s a natural elasticity to his game that is difficult to teach.

He doesn’t need much space to progress an attack. Give him a defender tight to his back and he can still turn, carry or combine his way out.

And then there’s the final action that run before the 1-2, attracting the defender before slipping Svensson through, was exactly the type of sequence I’m talking about. Not just a talented dribbler. Not just a 10 but a player who can create advantages himself.

His ceiling is seriously high."
