High-flying Borussia Dortmund visit the Deutsche Bank Park on Tuesday to face off with Eintracht Frankfurt in the second round of the DFB-Pokal Cup.
Fresh off a slender 1-0 win over FC Koln in the Bundesliga at the weekend, Der BVB is looking to continue its barnstorming run by picking up another victory.
However, they won't have fond memories of their last encounter with the Eagles, who beat them 2-0 in January this year during their Bundesliga encounter. But a lot has changed since then.
While Dortmund have lost just one game in their 2025-26 campaign so far, Frankfurt have been on a rough patch lately, winning just once from their last five games in all competitions, though it came just three days ago as Dino Toppmöller's side beat St. Pauli 2-0 in the league.
Here are key team news ahead of the encounter:
Borussia Dortmund
After fielding a highly changed lineup at the weekend, head coach Niko Kovac might bring back key players such as Jobe Bellingham, Niklas Sule, Marcel Sabitzer, and Maximilian Beier, who netted the winner against Koln, back into the line-up.

But according to some reports, key forward Serhou Guirassy might be benched for this one. The Guinean international has hit a goal drought lately, failing to score in four competitive matches now, after starting the campaign with a bang.
Kovac might cut him some slack here by dropping him from the XI. Karim Adeyemi could spearhead the lineup here in his absence, while Fabio Silva could remain sidelined as he continues his recovery from an adductor injury.
Eintracht Frankfurt

Jonathan Burkardt returned to Frankfurt's starting XI at the weekend against St. Pauli after sitting on the bench for their Champions League clash against Liverpool, and announced his return with a brace. The striker now has eight goals from 11 games in all competitions, a testament to his blazing run of form.
He will most likely start again, but goalkeeper Michael Zetterer could be given a break here after starting in seven consecutive games for Frankfurt, including their St. Pauli clash on Saturday. Kauã Santos might be given a chance to prove himself in goal.
