Borussia Dortmund are leading Arsenal 2-0 at the break as BVB fans are over the moon to see their side dominating the Emirates Cup match in London.

Samuele Inacio opened the scoring after only seven minutes into the kick-off before debutant Kontantinos Karetsas doubled their advantage with a fabulous solo goal.

The Greek international, who became their second most expensive player in history after completing a transfer from Genk last week, was handed his first start, deployed alongside Inacio behind Fabio Silva, while Ramy Bensebaini is also featuring for the first time this preseason.

Dortmund appeared to lose control of the match shortly after going 2-0 up but Arsenal blazed a few chances over while Alexander Meyer made one key save too.

Having endured a mixed bag of a preseason campaign so far, no one perhaps saw this coming; to have Die Borussen outclassing the reigning Premier League champions in their own backyard.

The Dortmund fans though, are impressed, and took to X to share their thoughts on the first half of the Emirates Cup game:

One Dortmund supporter urged the club to pin their faith in Inacio after his strike:

""Great game from everyone, with Mané especially worth highlighting. One should seriously consider betting on Inácio and save the money for El Mala""

One fan highlighted one key area for Kovac to address:

""Started off very strongly, actually all good. After the 0:2, unfortunately back to just hoofing the balls long, little to no relief with the ball. That's exactly what Kovac MUST work on. Controlling the game with the ball.""

Another X user was thoroughly impressed with the young guns in the squad:

""Karetstas, Filippo Mané, Gadou, and Inacio are just so awesome. Dortmund squad really gets you hyped for more, with so many interesting characters even on the bench, like Yamamoto or Chukwuemeka for example.""

Another Dortmund supporter was excited to see what Karetsas has in store for the upcoming season:

""It looks pretty good for a test match. Karetsas in particular is making a very good impression and showing why they brought him in. I'm sure he'll bring us a lot of joy yet.""

One Dortmund fan was happy to see Felix Nmecha back in action and balling in BVB colors again:

""For a Kovač-style game, there was actually a lot of proper football on display. I liked it. Nmecha is back in form, and WTF was Karazor doing there? He’s going to be a lot of fun to watch. 🎉""
