Borussia Dortmund earned a hard-fought 3-2 win over Heidenheim in the Bundesliga on Sunday courtesy of a late double from Serhou Guirassy.
Waldermar Anton fired the BVB in the penultimate minute of the opening stanza, before Julian Niehues equalized for the bottom-side shortly after.
He then made it 2-1 in the 48th minute as Dortmund shockingly trailed, but quickfire goals from Guirassy - a penalty and a classy finish - saved them the blushes.
Niko Kovac's side are now only six points behind leaders and defending champions Bayern Munich, who drew to Hamburger on Saturday, marking their second consecutive winless outing in the Bundesliga.
Here are the player ratings for Dortmund:
Gregor Kobel - 6.5: He didn't have to face much from Heidenheim besides those two goals, of which he should have done better for the first one, as Kobel was a second too late to react
Filippo Mane - 7: Got a rare start in the Dortmund XI and appeared to repay Kovac's faith, making three clearances, two recoveries and winning three ground duels too, but was still taken off at the break
Waldemar Anton - 7.5: A beast of a defender, displaying excellent vision and positional awareness to make eight clearances and four recoveries, while looking adept at winning the ball. Most importantly, he scored the goal that put Dortmund in front after 44 minutes
Nico Schlotterbeck - 7: He could have done better in set-piece situations but was otherwise strong in open-play.
Yan Couto - 6.5: Looked subdued compared to his other performances but still made one big chance in the game and was an outlet of crosses.
Jobe Bellingham - 7: Was proactive offensively, looking to regain possession in Heidenheim's half and even came away quite successfully, winning six of his 10 ground duels.
Felix Nmecha - 7: Solid defensively, and even tested the Heidenheim defnese with three shots, two of which were on target.
Daniel Svensson - 7.5: Made a game-high of 11 crosses and kept biting at the heels of Heidenheim players for the ball.
Karim Adeyemi - 6: One his worst performances of the season; Adeyemi was totally devoid of attacking flair and lacked any sense of direction in his forays.
Julian Brandt - 7.5: Dortmund's creative wizard was at it again, making five key passes. He constantly asked questions of Heidenheim's defense and strung together some sleek passes in the attacking half.
Serhou Guirassy - 8.5: By far his most menacing display in a while; Guirassy looked hungry for goals and bagged two, although it could have been more had he not missed a penalty or struck against the woodwork.
