Borussia Dortmund uplled the curtains down on their 2025-26 Bundesliga season with a narrow 2-0 win over Werder Bremen on Saturday.
Serhou Guirassy opened the scoring for the BVB in the 58th minute before substitute Yan Couto added a second one in stoppage time.
Niko Kovac's side were in full control of the match but some talismanic goalkeeping from Bremen custodian Mio Nagata kept them from going in front.
Ultimately, the gulf in quality between the sides mean Dortmund were able to come away with a win and end their campaign on a positive note.
Here are the player ratings:
Gregor Kobel - 8: Made four vital saves to keep out Bremen and clinched his 15th clean sheet of the season; Golden Glove beckons
Luca Reggiani - 6: Was inexplicably sloppy as Bremen's fast start had clearly unsettled the youngster
Waldemar Anton - 7.5: No issues here though, with the German standing like a rock against Bremen's early onslight; finished with five interceptions and clearances each
Nico Schlotterbeck - 7.5: Fought hard for the ball and came away triumphantly most of the time while timing all three of his tackles to perfection too
Julian Ryerson - 8: Last day, one last assist for the season as the Norwegian ace sent in a superb free-kick for Guirassy to score; 15 assists in the league, 18 in all competitions!
Felix Nmecha - 7: His first start in nearly three months and it didn't seem like he'd been missing in action all this while, looking composed on the ball and passing the ball around quite accurately
Jobe Bellingham - 6: Came a cropper in his duels but laid two key passes to prove his value going forward
Daniel Svensson - 7.5: Another blistering display on the left flank, bombing forward at will and always seeking out his attacking cohorts; two big chances created on the night
Maximilian Beier - 6.5: Surprisingly ineffective on a night like this; completed just 11 passes and failed to make a single cross
Samuele Inacio - 7: Was rewarded for his heroics last weekend with another start and Inacio was menacing, never giving Bremen a moment's rest with his electric pace and movements; he even rattled the crossbar once
Serhou Guirassy - 9: A 17th league goal of the season to get Dortmund up and running in the second half
