Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy has lavished praise on his Bayern Munich counterpart Harry Kane for his blistering goalscoring exploits.
The Englishman once again outscored Guirassy in the race for Bundesliga's Golden Boot in 2025-26 season, netting 36 goals while the BVB marksman came in at third with 17.
Stuttgart's Deniz Undav was the only other player to have scored more than Guirassy, with the Stuttgart sharpshooter scoring 19 times.
Having enjoyed a prolific debut campaign in 2024-25 which yielded 38 goals in all competitions, the Guinean international bagged just about 22 last term.
While it's still a good return by all accounts, it was the first time in three years that Guirassy scored fewer than 30 goals for his club although he still finished as Dortmund's top-scorer once again.
In a recent interview with Bundesliga, the 30-year-old expressed his desire to win the Golden Boot but admitted that it's not easy.
When asked if he's ever considered himself an 'exceptionally good striker', he said:
""I hadn’t realized that statistic at all, but I’m obviously delighted. Every now and then I chat to my friends about how cool it would be to win the Golden Boot one day. But that’s easier said than done.""said Guirassy
Last season, he missed out on the top-scorer award by just five goals: Kane swooped it away after scoring 26 goals while Guirassy narrowly came in at second with 21.
In 2025-26 season, Kane was back to his sublime best and scored 10 more than last time. Guirassy's form though, grew patchy after a strong start.
He admitted that competing with Bayern's stellar attackers can be tough, but rejoices in being among the league's best scorers over the past couple of years.

Guirassy's terrific run of 28 goals from as many games in 2023-24 Bundesliga season with Stuttgart convinced Dortmund to sign him up and he's continued in the same vein in North Rhine-Westphalia.
However, if the BVB want to want to seriously challenge Bayern Munich for the league crown, they would need him to score more frequently.
