Borussia Dortmund stormed into the second round of the DFB-Pokal after routing fifth-tier Hamburg-Eimsbütteler BC 5-0 on Tuesday.
Samuele Inacio was at the brace, while Daniel Svensson and Fabio Silva bagged apiece too although it was an own goal from Janek Wrede that opened the floodgates at the Volksparkstadion.
As expected, head coach Niko Kovac made wholesale changes to his XI with Alexander Meyer, Filippo Mane, Marcel Sabitzer, Joey Veerman, Samuele Inacio, Fabio Silva and Mathis Albert starting.
It took them over half an hour to break the deadlock but once BVB stole a march over their less-decorated hosts, there was no looking back, running riot in Hamburg.
Dortmund finished with an admirable 28 shots of which 12 were on target, while boasting a lion's share of possession at 75%.
The draw for the second round will be made on Sunday, 6 September as the Black and Yellow await to see who they take on next.

Alexander Meyer - 8: Had nothing much to do besides one save; a clean sheet on his return to his hometown.
Julian Ryerson - 9.5: Forced the own goal, teed up Svensson for the second and then Inacio for their fourth; vintage performance from the Norwegian assist-king.
Filippo Mane- 8: Hounded Hamburg players for the ball and made eight recoveries while completing 84 of his 85 passes; back in the lineup with a bang.
Waldemar Anton - 7.5: Performed to his usual best although HEBC did give him some tough moments in duels while he also missed a chance from a corner.
Daniel Svensson - 8: Doubled BVB's advantage with a nice effort and remained a menace for HEBC all night, making four crosses and laying two key passes.
Marcel Sabitzer - 8.5: Drove forward more than usual and supplied a wealth of crosses in the box (9 in total!); also created three excellent chances and tested HEBC with three shots.
Felix Nmecha - 6.5: Came second-best in his duels and struggled to make a mark in a game where almost everyone was having a stormer.
Joey Veerman - 9: His first start for BVB and the Dutchman displays his range of talents; he laid five crosses and five key passes each, while teeing up Silva for their fifth of the evening.
Samuele Inacio - 9.5: Sent off at the weekend for a clumsy challenge but makes up for it with a sensational brace here.
Fabio Silva - 8.5: Came in for Guirassy and scored once more; two goals for the season already.
Mathis Albert - 7: No direct contribution in any of the goals but looked promising with his forward runs and won five duels too.
