Midfielders

Yan Couto - 8/10

The Brazilian was a revelation on the right flank, driving forward with all the poise and purpose. He laid a staggering eight crosses in the game and three key passes too. Hdeidenheim had no answer to his menace.

Pascal Gross - 7/10

A strong display in midfield by Gross, who distributed the ball with the precision of a Swiss knife while also throwing his body in the way of two of Heidenheim's shots to block them.

Felipe Nmecha - 7.5/10

Nmecha was key to winning back possession for Dortmund, as his five successful ground duels out of seven would tell you. He even had the time to create two chances too. But, sloppyness in possession is something he can work on, having lost the ball 17 times during the game.

Daniel Svensson - 8/10

A bright attacking spark for Dortmund with six crosses and three key passes, including one big chance created. Too bad that none of his efforts bore fruition today.
