Borussia Dortmund may just have two of the most in-form forwards in Europe right now as Serhou Guirassy and Fabio Silva have both taken the new season by storm.

The Guinean ace, who's become the focal point of BVB's attack since joining from Stuttgart in 2024, has netted four times in four games in the 2026-27 campaign thus far.

After spending the entirety of 2025-26 season adjusting to life in a new league, Silva also appears to have found his feet with Dortmund at last.

He came into Tuesday's clash against Villarreal having scored one goal in each of his three appearances in all competitions. Although his scoring run ended in the Champions League, he bagged his first assist of the season to continue his record of making one direct goal-contribution in every appearance this season.

But, how many times have these players combined directly for a goal? Here's a rundown of each of the three instances where Guirassy and Silva came together to create a goal for Dortmund:

1) Wolfsburg 1-2 Dortmund (7 February 2026)

Back in February this year, the Dortmund forwards combined directly for a goal for the first time with Dortmund, and it was one that helped the BVB clinch all three points from the Bundesliga match.

With less than four minutes of normal time remaining, Felix Nmecha recovers the ball in an advanced position and squares it to Silva, who softly nudges it forward amid a crowd of green shirts for Guirassy to prance on to.

The Guinean ace races ahead to connect with it, slamming it home with a confident finish at the near post to make it 2-1 for Dortmund.

2) Hoffenheim 2-3 Dortmund (5 September 2026)

It took them another seven months to combine again but this one too was valuable. Just minutes after Guirassy pulled one back for Dortmund in the match away to Hoffenheim, he teed up Silva for 2-2.

Collecting a looping pass from goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, the strike instantly turned around to pick out Silva, who then raced forward into acres of space between Hoffenheim defenders at electric speed before making a cool, low-drive finish into the bottom corner.

3) Dortmund 3-2 Villarreal (8 September 2026)

Just days after their heroics in Sinsheim, Guirassy and Silva combined once more to show their attacking partnership is developing into a real force.

The Portuguese forward sent in a looping cross from the right which Guirassy converted with a simple finish into an empty net as Dortmund led 2-1 in the game again.
