Hungary vs Germany: Preview, Prediction, Lineup & How to Watch on TV
By Tushar Bahl
Germany will look to maintain their excellent run of form when they take on Hungary in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday evening.
Having already secured top spot in their Nations League group, Germany do not have much to play for in their matchday six clash against Hungary. But they will be determined to maintain their unbeaten run on Tuesday against a Hungary side set to play in the relegation playoffs in March.
Julian Nagelsmann will hope for another strong performance from his team, having overseen four wins and a draw so far in the Nations League. Germany claimed a stunning 7-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday. We could see some rotation to the Germany starting XI, with Joshua Kimmich and Florian Wirtz among those in line for a breather.
Borussia Dortmund centre-back Nico Schlotterbeck will likely come into the starting XI in place of the suspended Jonathan Tah. Pascal Groß could also retain his spot in the starting XI, although Felix Nmecha and Julian Brandt will both be pushing to play from the start. Bayern Munich's Alexander Nübel will likely line up between the sticks for Germany on Tuesday.
Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai will have a key role to play for Hungary against Germany. He will lead a Hungary side with five points from five matches in the Nations League this season. Hungary fell to a 5-0 defeat to Germany when the two sides met in Düsseldorf in September. They will hope for a much better result in Budapest.
